U11 League Cup Round Three

CALNE Town came out on top of thrilling cup tie beating Swindon Supermarine 6-4.

Swindon opened the scoring when the ball fell to Zachary Evans on the edge of the area and his shot slipped under the hosts' keeper.

Calne soon hit back to draw level and it was the hosts who then took the lead when Josh Pickett pulled off a fine save only to see the ball fall for a Calne player to slot home.

A succession of corners then paid off for Supermarine when Joshua Godwin glanced in a header to once again bring the tie level.

Calne then caught Swindon on the counter attack to get themselves back in front. Luke Legg scored a wonderful goal to take the sides in level at the break.

Supermarine soon found themselves in front after the break when great combination play between Zachary Evans and Legg was finished off by the latter.

Calne then pressed and they then made it four each after a couple of chances and not long after Calne found themselves 5-4 up.

Both sides created chances to add further goals to their tally in this spectacular game but it was Calne who were to add to their tally when the unfortunate visiting keeper saw a hopeful shot slip through his fingers.

Under 11s Division 3

Abbey Meads Rangers moved to top of the league with a 7-0 triumph over Swindon Rangers.

Abbey Meads went into this match looking for a third consecutive win and eased to a 3-0 lead before half time.

Abbey Meads made substitutions and scored a further four, with goals coming from Jack Lampard (3), Dejan Broja (1), Josh Harrison (1), Jack Ratcliffe (1) and Gionanne Pungitore (1).

Under 12s Division 1

Talli Demetrious scored a great goal for Highworth Town Juniors T in their 5-1 defeat away at Liden Community White.

Under 12s League Cup

Croft Red made it through to the next round with a 3-1 win over Wycombe.

Marshall Thompson opened the scoring with a well deserved goal before Spencer Bunce then gave a Croft a 2-0 lead.

The second half was a very evenly contested game with Wycombe scoring with five minutes to go but Tyger-J Hall scored Crofts third to clinch the tie.

A goal apiece for Nathaniel Bell and Jack Holder helped Wootton Bassett in the next round of the North Wilts Cup.

Under 12 Division 4

Five goals from Andrew Smith helped Abbey Meads Colts to a 7-1 victory over Kingshill.

Smith opened the scoring with a solo effort early in the first half before Kingshill equalised.

He got his second after a superb through ball from Charlie Reinicke put him through and he finished well.

Two more Smith goals early in the second half put Abbey Meads 4-1 up.

Todd Harper then scored 2 great goals to increase Abbey Meads lead before a long range effort from Smith sealed the win.

Under 13s League Cup

Abbey Meads Youth moved into the next round of the cup, beating Lydiard 2-0.

It was Abbey Meads who scored first just before half time with a goal from Brandon Lewis.

Youth started the second half well but Lydiard goalkeeper pulled of a string of good saves before Ben Dodd scored a superb 20 yard strike for Youth.

Under 13 Division 3

Calum Lansley, Colin Adams, Harry Webb and Ronnie-Kai Coller all scored a brace, to give FC Abbey Meads Colts a 8-4 win against Kingshill.

However it was Shannon King who stole the show for FC Abbey Meads Colts with a superb passing performance and some delightful touches on the ball.

Under 14s League Cup

Ferndale cemented their place in the quarter final of the League Cup with a 5-0 win against a spirited Highworth team.

Ferndale’s goals came via a hat trick for Dawid Osinski and one each for Matty Connor and Bailey Gallagher. A player of the match performance from defender Brandon Kandola-Conaghan and a couple of excellent, crucial saves from Dan Argrave meant Ferndale also kept a clean sheet.

Under 15s County Cup

Swindon Rangers Allstars Under 14s (correct) progressed to the next round with a 6-0 win at a well organised Supermarine side.

Rangers Allstars took the lead through their captain Lou Brown with a long range before Sean Wilkinson doubled the lead with a fine strike from the edge of box.

Callum Howse then increased Rangers advantage further before Mo Cham, with a solid header from a corner, took Rangers in four up at half time.

Harry Salter then capped his man of the match performance with another header to put Rangers five up before Dan Skinner rounded of the one-sided score-line.

Under 16s League Cup

Mitchell Sutton scored a superb free-kick for Highworth Town Juniors T but they could not avoid a 4-1 home defeat to Brinkworth Cats Black at the Rec in the U16 League Cup.
