SHRIVENHAM made it two draws in five days as they picked up a point away at local rivals Wootton Bassett Town.

However, the result means Shrivvy, who also shared a goalless draw at Milton United at the weekend, will now definitely finish in the Premier Division’s bottom two as they are 11 points adrift of Abingdon United with just three games remaining.

Shrivvy have been out of sorts all season and the writing looked on the wall as early as the sixth minute when Nathan Gambling fired Bassett in front.

However, an own goal pulled the visitors back level on the half-hour mark and neither side was then able to find a winner before full-time.

The point does Bassett little good either as although they have climbed above both Holyport and Milton on goal difference, boss Paul Braithwaite will no doubt view this as a missed opportunity.
