FC ABBEY Meads Youth clinched the Under 13 Division One title after beating Castle Combe 6-0.

Sub Logan Plumley opened the scoring with his first touch after a fine run by Harry Rule.

Rule then scored himself and in the second half Meads settled down quickly and scored two early goals from Plumley and Charlie Begley.

Brandon Lewis got his just rewards with two goals, while George Wilkins in the Meads goal kept his 13th clean sheet and Lewis Swatridge, Jamie Harrison and Harry Standen enjoyed solid games.

Under 14 Division 2

FERNDALE edged closer to winning the title with an excellent 10-0 win in their midweek encounter with Lydiard Millicent, keeping their third clean sheet in a row.

Dawid Osinski scored five times, Brandon Page twice and there was a goal each for Afonso Alves Ferreira, Callum Barrett and Jason Werrell. Full-back Harris Yousaf earned his team’s player of the match award.

Against Cirencester Town on Sunday, the goals kept on coming for Ferndale.

There were four goals for Brandon Page, a hat-trick for Xavi Diaz-Butcher, two for Ferreira and one each for Osinski, Yousaf, Barrett, Bailey Gallagher and Dexter Barrett. Werrell earned the player of the match award.

Under 16 Division 2

HIGHWORH Town Juniors T clinched the title in style, with a convincing 6-0 home win against Cirencester Town at the Rec.

Highworth’s scorers were Ollie Mulraney with a hat-trick, a brace from George Allen and one from Ryan Smith.

On Sunday, Highworth clinched a 5-0 home win against Sevenfields United at the Rec. Two goals from Mulraney put the home side in control at half-time and he completed his hat-trick in the second half, with Will Lewis and Jamie Paterson also netting.

Under 17/18 Division 1

DESPITE going 1-0 down Swindon Supermarine U17/18s managed to take all three points with a 2-1 home win against Shrivenham & Watchfield.

Shrivenham opened the scoring midway through the first half, but Brendor Nkegbe equalised for Supermarine 10 minutes later.

A closely-fought second half saw few chances for either side, but in the last quarter of the match, Nkegbe scored his second and the winner via a 30-yard direct free-kick.
