STEVE Robertson hopes his free-scoring Swindon Town Ladies can continue their flying start to the season and make it four wins in a row tomorrow.

Town have found the net 15 times in three matches so far in 2015-16, with Maidenhead United the latest side who will try to keep them quiet in South West Division One when they travel to Barrington Park.

Seven of those strikes came in the midweek thrashing of local rivals Swindon Spitfires and Robertson sought the advice of counterpart Steve Turner after the game, as the Spits have already come up against Maidenhead this term.

“I couldn’t be much happier with the results we’ve had so far, it’s been an excellent start and we’ve got to try to keep that going if we can,” said Robertson.

“What’s really pleasing is that the goals are not coming from one player. People are chipping in from everywhere and that’s important.

“Later in the season we might be trying to dig out results and you don’t want to be relying on one person, everyone is showing they have confidence in front of goal.

“I spoke to the Spitfires manager and he told me Maidenhead are quite a physical team so we are expecting a bit of a fight.

“When you don’t know that much about your opponents it does make it a bit harder but we are in a position where we just concentrate on ourselves.

“We know that if we perform to our best, 90 per cent of the time we will have a very good chance of winning the game.”

Serena Smith will miss the match through suspension, while Meg Attenborough is away on holiday but Robertson does not think their absences will cause Town any great problems.

“Serena will be a loss as she has been fantastic in the season and a half she has been here but the people we have got to come in are more than respectable replacements,” said Robertson.

“With the squad we have got and how well everyone is doing, it’s giving me a massive headache, but that’s one I’m happy to have.”

Meanwhile, Spitfires will look to bounce back from that midweek mauling by claiming a first win of the season at Chichester City.

However, Spits will be up against it as the Sussex side have claimed six points from six so far this term.
