SWINDON Spitfires United returned to the top of the Open Age table after a 5-3 win over Mangotsfield United.

United came close early on, however Carla Compton’s shot was just wide.

It was Mangotsfield who opened the scoring on 14 minutes. United were quick to reply following a long-range strike from Compton.

Two minutes later, Mangostfield were ahead again, but United restored parity when Diane George slotted home Charley Reynolds’ corner.

After the break, Reynolds netted her first on 53 minutes before firing home a spot kick two minutes later, after Morgan Whittaker was brought down.

Sandra Higgins-Hughes then added the fifth from a free-kick, after Reynolds was brought down on the edge of the area.
