DAVE Webb says there is no chance of Swindon Supermarine running the risk of coming back red faced when they travel to bottom side Bashley tonight.

Bashley are without a point in Division One South & West this season, having lost all of their 24 games, conceding 116 goals and only scoring nine.

By contrast, Marine are on a 10-match unbeaten run in the league and are sitting pretty in the play-off places despite their clash with Taunton Town postponed at the weekend.

However, manager Webb insists his side will be giving Bashley their full respect as they look to avoid a potential banana skin.

“We don’t want to go there thinking it’s just a game where we have to turn up to win,” said Webb.

“They have got pride to play for and the players will want to put in a good performance for their club and their supporters.

“They will know we are on a good run and will be hungry to try and halt that.

“It’s one of those games that you are just more than happy to get back on the coach afterwards with a win and hopefully having kept a clean sheet too.

“I’m not too worried about how many goals we may or may not score. All you want is to win the game and not be the first team they beat in the league.

“We are on a good run and we’ve got to go there and be professional as we don’t want to give that up.”

Marine are likely to have to shake up their strikeforce in Hampshire as both Connor Waldon and Josh Parsons are doubts for this evening’s game.

Although it will be a blow if both players miss out, Webb is confident that he has the players to cope in their absence.

“We have got Bradley Gray who can play there, and Jacob Davidge and Connor Thompson and Josh Morse can all do a job there too,” said Webb.

“It’s one of those when you have to think if it’s worth risking players who are not 100 per cent.

“We have got a lot of games left and they are two important players and we want to keep them at 100 per cent for as long as we can.”
