TROWBRIDGE Town celebrated lifting the Senior Division trophy by dispatching last year’s champions in their final outing of the season.
The Bees, who wrapped up the title by beating Ludgershall Sports on April 30, were presented with the league trophy at Woodmarsh on Saturday but Trowbridge also ensured that they weren’t upstaged as they beat last term’s winners, Malmesbury Victoria, 3-2.
Nick Ridout got the party started for the hosts, who also won 2-0 against Melksham Town Reserves in the penultimate game of the campaign last Wednesday, as he hit a hat-trick to see off the Vics.
Meanwhile, Melksham ended their campaign on a high with a 2-1 victory at Marlborough Town whilst Wroughton suffered a 1-0 defeat on the road at Devizes Town Reserves.
There was plenty to smile about for Trowbridge Wanderers as they hammered Vale of Pewsey 9-1 and there was also a win for Corsham Town Reserves, who edged out Chippenham Park Development 3-2.
