CROFT Junior Red Under 12s continued their remarkable winning streak as they lifted their age group prize with a 4-1 victory over FC Calne as Swindon Town's County Ground hosted the North Wilts Youth League's finals weekend.

Lewis Hutchison scored twice and Colby Kemper and Charlie McCrae wrapped up the silverware as Croft clinched their fourth successive league and cup double.

Manager Martin Hutchison said: "It was our fourth cup win on the trot and we've won the league and cup for the last four years so we were very pleased.''

That victory was one of two for the Croft club, Under 13 boss Carl Bunce paying tribute to his side as they lifted their age group trophy with a 3-0 success over Liden Community White.

Croft had been pipped to runners-up spot in the league by their opponents, but having ousted league winners Royal Wootton Bassett Town Blue in the cup semi final, they ensured they got their hands on some silverware.

After a goalless first half, Sidney Skippen opened the scoring with a magnificent strike from just inside his own half.

Marshall Thompson's weaving run into the box then ended in a foul - and the end of Thompson's participation in the game - but Landon Golding doubled the advantage from the penalty spot.

The cup was sealed as Spencer Bunce's corner was met by the head of Tyger-J Hall for the third.

Manager Bunce said: "Liden are a very good side and it was a very good game. The first half was event, but we changed it around a bit and played really well in the second half, even though the conditions were terrible.

"We had 13 players in our squad and they all played and contributed to a great day.''

FC Chippenham Youth were crowned the Under 14 cup champions following their 3-2 extra-time win over league champions Highworth Town Juniors H.

Corey Gardner fired Chippenham into the lead early in the second half before Kassa Anderson sent the game into extra time.

Gardner bagged his second within 30 seconds of the restart, while Tom Wassili made it 3-1.

Harrison Jordan grabbed a late goal for Highworth but Chippenham, who had Finn Lewkowicz named player of the match, held on for the win.

“The lads were in a bit of shock afterwards at how well they played,” said Chippenham boss Rob Humphreys. “They have had a bit of a mental block when playing Highworth this year so this was absolutely brilliant.

“All 16 players got on the pitch and everyone one of them made a contribution.”

Swindon Rangers Under 15s boss Dave Steed bowed out in the perfect way as his side defeated Swindon Supermarine L 3-1 to lift their trophy and complete a league and cup treble.

Steed, who announced earlier in the season that this would be his last campaign, went out as a winner as Serkan Kilic, Clint Lomax and Alfie Moulding struck to secure the trophy for Rangers.

The manager, whose side had already won their league title and added the Wiltshire Cup, said: "That sort of thing doesn't happen too often so it was great for the lads to enjoy themselves like that and pick up another trophy.''

Wroughton Youth boss James Moxham admitted his side's Under 16 final against Kings Stanley was great for the neutral, but not so good for his blood pressure as the Swindon side squeezed home 5-4.

Wroughton were 2-0, 3-1 and 5-3 up at various stages of the contest, Tom Miller bagging a brace and Jordan Taylor smashing home a spectacular 40-yard free kick, while Sam Roberts and Harry Kearns also found the net.

Stanley though kept themselves right in the frame up until the final whistle before Wroughton held on to add the cup to their league triumph.

Moxham, who stepped down after the final having coached the side since they were under fives, said: "It was a very tense last two and a half to three minutes but the game was very enjoyable by all accounts and played by both sides in the right manner, although it probably wasn't that enjoyable as a manager.''

Shrivenham & Watchfield fought back from a goal down to lift the Under 17/18 prize with a 2-1 victory over Royal Wootton Bassett Town.

After a goalless first half, Bassett grabbed the lead within seconds of the restart when Jack Graham found the net.

Within a minute though Shrivenham were level, Nick Moore restoring parity.

Five minutes later came the winner as Josh Tyler found the net for Shrivenham, who completed an unbeaten campaign that also saw them lift the Division Two title.

Boss James Dore said: "It's a league and cup double and Bassett are in Division One so we were pleased to get the win.

"We've been really good and we haven't lost a game this season. It was great for the lads to do it at the County Ground and I enjoyed it too as I'm a (Swindon Town) season ticket holder.

"Ten of our lads are still Under 17 age so they'll be back again next season when hopefully we will go into Division One.''

The Under 11 final saw FC Salisbury United edge out AFC Newbury 3-2, thanks to Luke Conley's double and an Elliott Sharlott strike. Jacob Wilson and Finlay Hopkins were on target for Newbury.

The Respect Sportsmanship Charity Match saw Royal Wootton Bassett Town draw 1-1 1 with a league All Stars team at Under 15 level.

In league action, Lydiard Youth put on a dominant performance in their final Under 13 Division Three game of the season putting seven past Wootton Bassett.

The goals came from Oliver Tremblen and Jon Raggett, who both scored doubles, while Reece Bates, Will Steckerl and goalkeeper Jack Timbrell also netted.
