SWINDON Supermarine have been handed a home draw in the FA Cup Preliminary Round against lower-league opposition.

Dave Webb’s side, who enter the competition in the second round of the competition, will face one of Toolstation Western League Premier Division sides Odd Down or Longwell Green Sports.

In the Extra Preliminary Round, Jeff Roberts’ Highworth Town side will start their run in the prestigious tournament at home to Tadley Calleva, while Royal Wotton Bassett Town travel to Wessex League Premier Division outfit Andover Town.

Hellenic League Division One West side Fairford Town have been drawn at home to CB Hounslow United, who ply their trade in the Combined Counties Football League Division One, while Purton and Shrivenham have not entered the tournament this year.

Should Highworth, Bassett or Fairford progress, they will face Ardley United or Tuffley Rovers, Spelthorne Sports or Hartley Wintney, and Petersfield Town respectively.

Meanwhile, in the FA Trophy, Marine have been drawn away to fellow Southern League Division One South and West side Slimbridge, with a trip to either Taunton Town or Larkhall Athletic waiting should they progress.

Chippenham Town enter the competition at the First Round Qualifying stage and face Salisbury or Hereford.

In the FA Vase, Fairford face a home tie against Chipping Sodbury Town in First Round Qualifying, while Shrivenham are at home to Abbey Rangers.

Highworth Town, who made it to the semi-finals two seasons ago, travel to Bashley in Second Round Qualifying, and Paul Braithwaite’s Bassett face either Thame United or Tadley Cavella at the Gerrard Buxton Sports Ground.

Gareth Davies’ Fairford side would face a trip to Fleet Spurs should they win their first game, while Michael McNally’s Shrivenham face a home tie with Badshot Lea or Farnham Town.

Supermarine will play their game on Saturday, August 20, while the Extra Preliminary Round matches will take place on Saturday, August 6.

The FA Trophy Preliminary Round will be played on Saturday, October 8, with the First Round Qualifying games three weeks later on Saturday, October 29.

The FA Vase First Round Qualifying will take place on Saturday, September 10, with Second Round Qualifying on Saturday, September 24.
