NEW College assistant manager Matt Cosnett is looking forward to seeing return of former students for the up-coming year.

The majority of the College outfit is made up students from the football academy programme at the Walcot-based college, who kick-off their season with a trip to Shrivenham.

However, this term four of last year’s players - Josh Croucher, Charlie Fox-Saunders, Alex Fenton and Dan Carter - have returned to club despite having left the college.

“We always try and encourage the lads to stay and play for us for a fourth season,” said Cosnett, who will once again be the right hand man to Mark Teasdale after he returned for the new campaign following his health issues.

“A lot of them, either go off to (Royal Wootton) Bassett or Highworth (Town) and then ask to come back because they are not getting a game.

“By them staying on for another year it will benefit them and it is great to have them on a season players.”
