Swindon Supermarine put in a five-star display to maintain their perfect start to the season at Ferndale Rodbourne.

Marine got their noses in front when a long range effort from Josh Godwin took a slight deflection to wrong foot the home keeper. The South Marston outfit doubled their lead when Joah Hall flicked on a header to put Luke Legg in on goal to rifle home. The home side had the better of the exchanges at the start of the second half with a couple of chances.

Godwin made it 3-0 when he headed home from a corner before Rhys Ward made it 4-0 when he was on hand to drill home a loose ball.

There was time for Marine to add a fifth goal when Riley Bailey again scored from inside the penalty area with a powerful shot.

Ferndale held a slender one-goal advantage at the interval thanks to Matty Connor’s strike in their strongly contested match against Swindon Rangers.

After Rangers had equalised, two glorious chances for Ferndale went begging but, the visitors proved clinical in front of goal and took the lead.

Ferndale pressed for an equaliser and, in doing so, Rangers sealed a 3-1 win with the last kick of the game.

Jacob Edwards-Brown put in a man-of-the-match display.
