SWINDON Town Ladies will be looking to put a weekend of disappointment behind them when they welcome C&K Basildon to Barrington Park tomorrow.
Steve Robertson’s side headed to the south coast last weekend to face Portsmouth, full of confidence that they could rack up their third win the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division.
However, Town returned home empty-handed from Pompey, who play their home matches at Gosport Borough, following a 5-0 defeat.
That loss has left Robertson’s side sitting third-from-bottom in the Southern Division.
The visit of Basildon, who are linked to Essex Olympian League side Basildon Town, will give Town a chance to avenge one of their nine league defeats.
Last month, Swindon were holding the Essex side to a goalless draw at the interval.
However, the hosts came out in the second half and claimed a 2-0 win.
Basildon, who haven’t played since October 30, come into the match following a 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in their last game
