CUP fever took over the Swindon Sunday League as DPR booked their place in the Chairman Trophy final with a 5-0 win over Wanborough.

DPR’s goals came from Gianluca Costabile and Sean Broomfield plus a hat-trick from Tom McCulloch much to the delight of manager Liam Lewis.

“We dominated most of the game to be fair, we have played them a couple of times earlier in the season but we were fairly comfortable,” said Lewis.

“We’ve been close to a final in the last couple of seasons and it is something we have wanted to do for a while.

“We are happy to be there and hopefully get a result against Woodlands Edge, who are a very good team.”

Woodlands Edge won their semi-final against Rudis 4-0 to provide DPR's final opposition.

Highworth Town Sunday secured their place in the Bunny Uzzell Memorial Shield final with a 4-2 win over Coleshill Youth.

The Division Five side will now face AFC Cricklade in the showpiece after goals from Josh Coombe, Ellis McSharry, Adam Brooks and Nathan Gambling sealed the win.

In the Knockout Cup, Division One side Deers Leap suffered a shock 5-3 semi-final defeat to Division Two out Cleeve Tech.

Greyhound were involved in the same competition and made the most of home comforts as they beat FC Walcot 5-2.

Away from the up semi-finals, there just six league games on Sunday with AFC Gas closing the gap on leaders Greyhound to two points with a 4-3 win over Penhill United.

In Division Three, Croft Junior moved to the top of the table with a thumping 6-2 win at home to Stratton Saints.

Chiseldon Sunday and Athletico Marlborough shared the spoils in Division Four after their 1-1 draw.

Division Five’s Northern Lights were unable to prevent their 12th defeat of the season as they lost 7-1 away to Cricklade Park Rangers.

Elsewhere, Paxton House United wrapped up all three points in a 5-2 victory at home to Save on Tyres Athletic as Swindon as Purton Red House picked up a 2-0 win over Swindon Rovers.
