HIGHWORTH Town manager Jeff Roberts admits he could do without tonight’s trip to St Albans in the FA Cup.
The Worthians travel to London Colney after being held to a 1-1 draw on Sunday, Tom Cole cancelling out Dwayne Clark’s strike for the visitors.
The two-hour journey tonight will leave Roberts without some key players tonight, including Ross Adams, but Chris Taylor will be available for the trip as they look to book a place in the preliminary round against Southern League side Marlow.
“Their keeper saved them a lot in the first half and we had some good opportunities we should have put away,” said Roberts.
“We said at half-time that it only takes a lapse in concentration in the second half, which it did.
“We’re then chasing the game. From a good corner, Coley has come in and headed home to put us back in the game.
“We had a few more little chances after that and it’s a game we should have won.
“It makes it a bit uncomfortable for us now with players and work (tonight).
“Hopefully we can go there and get a win and there is a good tie for us at the end of it, to see if we can get through against a Southern League side.”
Fairford Town are also on the road as they travel to Longlevens following their 1-1 draw in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Swindon Supermarine have added to their squad ahead of Saturday’s Evo-Stik League South West game at Cinderford Town by signing Lee Marshall, George Kellow and Josh Hill.
