ABBEY MEADS SUNDAY

THE BRAND NEW season in the Swindon Abbey Meads Sunday 6-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Division saw Los Galacticos romp home to an incredible 21-0 mauling of Athletico FC.

Total 90 stormed to a 9-1 drubbing of Sevenfields as they look to go one better than the runners-up berth this season by taking the title, but reigning champions Valley FC also won at the first time of asking with a 6-3 victory over Stratton Six.

Cement FC are also hoping to build a title challenge as Joe Cox helped them to a comfortable 5-0 win over Penhill FC.

It was a case of ‘Come On Veal The Noise’ for MUFC in Division One, as Dean Veal starred in their thrilling 7-5 win against Deportivo Laka Talent, whilst Help For Heroes had more of a Jamie The Lad than Jack The Lad, as Jamie Ladd helped them edge through 6-5 in a true humdinger with Legenderry FC.

Dan Hurne took the plaudits for Never Last as they shared an enthralling 4-4 draw with Red Star.

ST JOSEPH’S SUNDAY

BooYa’s ‘Room Service’ was in evidence again this week in the St Joseph’s Sunday league, as John Room starred in their 8-0 destruction of Harvey Hotspur.

FC Whitered moved top on goal difference with a 6-2 success over Boca Seniors, and Pete Norris ensured The Messenger were regulation 4-1 victors against Wilts Ham United. Swindon’s Finest dropped to second as they were held 1-1 by Gorse Hill Blues.

NEXT GENERATION THURSDAY

Deano Veal claimed the star man gong for Westhaydon United in the Next Generation Thursday league as they stormed home to a 9-4 demolition of MUFC, whilst West Swindon FC were 7-4 victors over Kembrey FC.

Jason Gibbs ensured Plough Inn clung on for an enthralling 6-4 win against Lonely Barry Athletic.
