Valley FC - still gunning for the Abbey Meads Premier Division title
ABBEY MEADS SUNDAY
VALLEY FC remain in good shape in the Swindon Abbey Meads Sunday 6-a-side Leisure Leagues Premier Division, as a thrilling 8-5 victory over Los Galacticos sees them lie in second spot, a point shy of the summit.
The big clash at the top saw Total 90 hold leaders God With An Extra ‘O’ to a pulsating 4-4 draw, and Sevenfields eased relegation fears with a 5-1 drubbing of Stratton Six.
Division One side MUFC have won all eleven of their games so far and Carl Warr ensured they won the battle against LMA this week, clinging on for an enthralling 7-6 victory, and Chris Cummings was the star for Old’em Pathetic in their 6-4 win over Deportivo Lacka Talent.
ST JOSEPH’S SUNDAY
Gorse Hill Blues might have romped home to an 8-2 rout of Parkz & Co in the St Joseph’s Sunday league, with Dennis King crowned the man of the match, but FC Whitered are now confirmed as champions.
They have an unassailable three point lead at the summit going into the final day next week, whilst Swindon’’s Finest’s hopes of finished third took a blow as they were defeated 3-1 by a John Room-inspired BooYa.
Super Six clung on 6-4 in a humdinger with The Untouchables, thanks to Lee Beale, and Boca Seniors were 3-2 victors over UK Dons FC.
