TAKE IN this spectacular view across the harbour in the wonderful city of Dubrovnik on the Adriatic coastline. Pictured is Andrea Glass from Moredon following a recent holiday to Croatia with husband David. Dubrovnik thrived during the Middle Ages as a seaport to rival Venice, and was home to many notable poets, playwrights, painters, mathematicians, physicists and other scholars. Today Dubrovnik is the proudest feather in Croatia's tourist cap, an elite destination and one of the most beautiful towns in the Mediterranean. "The picture is of myself on the walls of the old city of Dubrovnik, which is still being rebuilt after the 1991/92 war," writes Andrea. "The old city is an amazing place to visit, it is like stepping back in time."
