EVEN Swindon Primary School aims to offer its pupils a solid foundation not only for learning but also to gain skills for life.

The school’s motto is Believe, Achieve, Inspire, a philosophy which can be found throughout everything the school does.

It looks to deliver a well-structured and stimulating curriculum which gives every child the opportunity to achieve the maximum potential.

This is all achieved within a safe and secure learning environment in which all the staff care, offering a high quality education.

In striving towards the motto the school looks to build partnerships with families as well as the community.

The team at Even Swindon Primary also makes sure every child learns to respect themselves as well as others and the environment around them.

Their success in this field was demonstrated by a recent award given to the school.

It gained the Eco-schools Bronze Award as recognition for all the work done to encourage sustainable living.

The school works with the belief that every child has their own way of learning, so it offers a wide range of learning experiences with the aim of building confidence and working on areas of weakness.

There is a recognition that its pupil body is made up of children from all kinds of backgrounds, so they are taught the importance of multi-culturalism and to appreciate everyone as individuals.

The school also holds the National Healthy Schools Award and as part of this process staff encourage children and parents to eat healthily.

To assist with this policy children are asked where possible to bring in healthy lunch boxes that do not contain sweets or fizzy drinks.

As with many primary schools in Swindon, Even Swindon Primary is rapidly expanding and plans were recently given approval which will see an extra eight classrooms built as well as some extra leisure areas.

This is to accommodate an annual intake of 90 pupils a year, up from the previous amount of 60, with work due to start on the expansion in January.

A previous extension was formally opened earlier this month and included a Great Western Railway-themed reception area, along with extensions to the school’s nursery, staffroom and two of the classrooms.
