AS ONE of the newest schools in Swindon, Croft Primary School is still growing.

However, despite not being at full capacity its pupils still receive a full and rounded education, leaving them ready for the next stage of their schooling.

Formed in 2012, Croft School is part of the White Horse Federation and is already integral to the community, working closely with partners.

“We are still a growing school but are constantly developing an experienced team of teachers and support staff,” said headteacher Candida Hutchinson.

“Everyone is looking to create a happy, safe, stimulating learning environment where children are able to develop a lifelong love of learning and resilience in all that they do.

“We aim to achieve this through partnership with parents, governors and the community.”

Important values are instilled in all the pupils throughout their time at Croft, from respect and honesty, through to teamwork and collaborative learning.

“What everyone wants is for the pupils to become successful and to achieve through the support of all at the school,” said Candida.

“We work with our partners like Intel and Nationwide to play our part within the community.”

While the school is currently enjoying success, it still has the potential to offer much more as more children join.

Its outdoor area is a prime example of this.

There is currently an outdoor staged area which will be developed so the school can put on performances and shows.

Candida said: “I am really looking forward to what the school has to offer.

“For example we have lots of siblings who will be starting in September which I think will bring a lot to the school.

“We have a lot already but as we grow, which we are continuing to do, there is so much more we will be able to offer.”

The school is strengthened by being part of the White Horse Federation, a group of schools that are based in the Swindon area.

It means that each of the schools is able to support each other and provide further opportunities for pupils.
