ENSURING children have fun and enjoy their learning experience while achieving their personal best is central to Liden Primary School.
The school offers a safe and caring learning environment which aims to make sure every pupil is confident, sensitive to others, interested in the world around them and prepared for the challenges ahead.
Headteacher Vikki Marsh-Ballard said: “Our children strive for excellence in everything they do.
“We pride ourselves on being a friendly open school where all children try to do their best from the minute they enter school to the time they leave. We have high expectations for all pupils. We welcome diversity and shared experiences, interests and strengths.”
The school also looks to make sure it has a solid relationship with the parents of the pupils in order to enhance their education.
Vikki said: “A good relationship between school and home helps to build a child’s confidence and assists their development in school. We depend upon the co-operation, support and involvement of parents.
“At Liden Primary School we strive to foster a relationship that doesn’t end at the school gate and to develop a good understanding between home, staff and governors for the benefits of our children.”
The school understands the importance of read- ing, demonstrated by it’s Bug Club – a whole-school reading programme that joins books with an online reading world to teach today’s children to read.
The teaching staff are all committed to the ethos of the school and helping each pupil to reach their best. They come from a wide range of backgrounds so are able to bring a wealth of experience.
“We are here to make sure that our school’s performance is evaluated and continuously improves, to provide the strategic direction for the school and that the school keeps abreast of whatever challenges circumstances throw our way,” said Vikki “Most of all we are here because we care for our school and the children and we want it to succeed.”
