Qualification Proves A Big Hit With Students

The International Baccalaureate was established in 2003 and the college is finding that more and more high achieving pupils are attracted to the internationally recognised qualification.
So what makes a good IB student? Students who are inquisitive, searching, and interested in the world; they can think critically and they are good communicators. They are also caring students, reflective, open minded and keen to seek and evaluate a range of points of view.
Student Chris Adams said: "I wanted to study a diverse range of subjects, and the IB seemed the perfect choice to fulfil this.
"You need to be prepared for a busy day on the IB, but there's never a dull moment. I have learnt many things in my academic subjects, but also about life and the world. I think that is just as worthwhile."
Chris has been offered a place at Oxford University to study Classics and Modern Languages.
Vice Principal Desna McAll said: "Since introducing the IB five years ago, the course has gone from strength to strength, attracting talented students from a wide area. Students have realised that the IB can open doors for them, not only in this country but all around the world."
