Inspired
THE Science Museum in Wroughton is home to 250,000 previously unseen exhibits, and boasts a wide range of artefacts from a James Bond sub to an 18th century model of the solar system.

Supporters were devastated when the museum was dropped from a competition to win £50m of Lottery cash. The money would have been used to open the collection to the public and create the largest museum in Europe.

The news that the Inspired project had not been shortlisted for the ITV People's Millions contest prompted a passionate response from people in and around Swindon and from further afield. Those who have backed the project include jazz star Jamie Cullum and comedian Dom Joly.
