WOULD the Advertiser be able to obtain and publish figures about the number of children from the Borough of Swindon forecast to be accepted at the University of Bath should the plans to destroy the area around Coate go ahead?

My understanding is that it hovers around the zero mark and that there is no intention to promote the Lebensraum campus as a destination of choice for the children of this borough.

Two of the many glib phrases touted during the laughable council consultation regarding Improving Education Provision in West Swindon were about the "0 to 19 education continuum" and "joined-up planning."

There doesn't seem to be any initiative being developed by the council to increase the number of borough children aiming to go to a university, on the doorstep or anywhere else.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems that former Conservative councillor Doug Stewart finds himself in regarding his shed and apparent misunderstanding of planning regulations.

Hopefully, the remaining Conservative councillors will take steps to ensure that they are up to speed with planning regulations in respect of their properties and businesses and will ensure that their Register of Interests are fully up to date, including details of any Masonic links.
