POLICE are warning Stratton residents to take care after a spate of lead thefts.
Offenders have stolen lead from the roofs of both residential and commercial premises.
Community beat officer PC Lisa Tucker said: "Please keep an eye out for any persons paying extra attention to properties in your area.
"If you think their actions are suspicious call the police and try to note down the best possible descriptions.
"Look to see if they are travelling in a vehicle and try to note the registration mark.
"Do not approach these offenders as they could be dangerous. The best way of helping police is to get as much detail as possible."
Anyone with information is urged to call Swindon police on 0845 408 7000.
