PREPARATIONS are taking shape for this year's Old Town Festival - but organisers say more help is needed.
Every year thousands of people enjoy the spectacular occasion.
This year's event will run between June 21 and 29. And organisers are hopeful that it will be the best so far.
To give the event an extra edge, a real community feel is encouraged with visitors able to listen to music from bands such as Acoustic Taxi, Mojo and Paradox while contributing to good causes.
Patsy Moloney, the procession co-ordinator, said there will also be opportunities for people to take guided historic walks around Old Town, watch parades and even take part.
He said: "The festival is for the community, by the community, and is extremely well organised every year if I do say so myself. It is going to be a fantastic time.

"Every year we get great feedback about what we do so it is important that we carry the event on."
This year's festival will include a dog show, a Wild West Night, brass bands and a performance of Irish dancing
"So many things have been falling away in the Swindon area with the change of times and people," Mr Moloney said.
"And that makes it important to keep events going, to keep people in touch with one another."
Brian Mattock, chairman of the organising committee, is looking for help from the community, not only as sponsors but also to help with work on the ground.
He said: "Our motto is for the community, by the community' and our aim is to provide enjoyment and entertainment for the whole community and also to promote business interests, particularly within Old Town.
"If people are happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in we need you. From picking up litter, to erecting marquees, running bars, manning the festival office and setting up venues, we need all kinds of help.
"There will not be much glory and it will be pretty exhausting, but it will be great fun."
Any people interested in contributing to the festival are asked to telephone Brian on 01793 522540 or email him on brian.mattock@ntlworld.com.
