Police rescue

POLICE in Swindon sprang into action after receiving reports that a girl might be making a suicide attempt.

The 20-year-old was assisted by police, just after noon on Wednesday.

Officers were called to the incident, at an address in Victoria Road, by the Swindon Mental Health Team, which had provided officers with the girl's address earlier in the day.

Four police officers, along with two community support officers, attended to help the woman, who was then taken away for medical observation.
