A RODBOURNE pub has pulled out all the stops in a fundraising drive for a sick child.

The Southbrook Inn in Southbrook Street held a weekend of fundraising for Louise Fisher, a nine-year-old girl with atheoid cerebral palsy.

Building firm Roberts and Sons agreed to donate £500 but only if long-time local, Phil Baker, agreed to have his much-loved ponytail chopped off.

The weekend culminated with a raffle, which realised a further £469. Pub proprietors Bob and Gina Downing rounded up the total amount raised to £1,500.

Tricky one. It is Ferndale I think but it could be easily confussed with Cheney Manor or Rodbourne.

Congrats to the Southbrook Pub and all involved. Do they still do brill meals there?
