Hanrattys leave their home - and leave a bible behind

A FAMILY who terrorised Penhill have left their home.

Tina Brett and William Hanratty were ordered to leave their house in Fyfield Avenue after allowing their unruly sons Thomas and Patrick to annoy neighbours.

Council housing and anti-social behaviour officers, supported by police and bailiffs arrived at the address yesterday morning to turf the family out.

Swindon Council sought an eviction order in February, after the two eldest Hanratty sons, Thomas, 18, and Patrick, 19, breached orders banning them from Penhill.

The orders had been put in place after the two teenagers waged a two-month reign of terror against neighbours.

But when the locksmith and bailiffs arrived to remove them the only item left in the spotless family home was a Bible.

A neighbour said she had heard banging noises and seen the family packing up on Monday evening.
