A MAN has been attacked by two others in the public toilets in Lydiard Park.
The victim was washing his hands when two men launched the unprovoked assault.
PC Paul Bezzant said: "The victim was subjected to a barrage of punches by the offenders. Once he fell to the floor they kicked him in the body and punched him in the head.
"The victim suffered bruising to his face and upper body and was extremely fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries."
The first man was described as about 24 and had tribal tattoos covering both arms. He was 6ft and stocky, with short hair. The second man was white and wearing a cream top.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the men in the park at 5pm on July 1, or who recognises the descriptions to call 0845 408 7000.
The fire engine is back from the National Railway Museum – soon it will be looking pristine once more at Steam, where work preparing it for exhibition to the public before Christmas has begun.
Storytelling is an integral part of both summer and winter events at Lower Shaw Farm.
