SAINSBURY'S in Devizes re-opened at 9am after refurbishment with representatives from Devizes Food Bank there to cut the ribbon and declare the store open.

The store shut on Wednesday, August 12, and will now offer its customers a range of improvements, including an improved layout, a new pizza counter, and updated branding and decoration.

Tom Kirby, Sainsbury’s project manager overseeing the improvement works, said: “We’ve worked hard over the past week to ensure the improved store is ready for our customers in Devizes.

"We would like to thank the residents for their patience during the works.”

Simon Coldwell, store manager, said: “We hope that the customers like the improvements we have made and that they make their shopping experience with us more enjoyable."

Devizes Food Bank is the store’s chosen charity of the year which sees them receive funding and support from Sainsbury’s colleagues locally. Local schools and groups have also benefitted from the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme which provides free sports equipment.
