FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire at a barn in Thingley, between Corsham and Lacock, containing 200 tons of straw and farm machinery.
At first five fire crews from Calne, Chippenham, Royal Wootton Bassett and Corsham were sent to New Farm on Corsham Road at 5.30am.
By 9am the fire service said that two appliance had left the scene as the blaze has been brought under control and is being allowed to burn out.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and stopping it from spreading to an adjoining 17th century barn. They also saved several vintage cars from the four-bay Dutch-type barn.
Wiltshire Fire Service said there was no indication as yet as to the cause of the blaze.
