DEVIZES auctioneers Henry Aldridge and Son are expecting buyers from all over the world to bid a pair of white boots worn by Elvis Presley.

Henry Aldridge and Son expect the boots, worn by singer known as The King on TV, to fetch between £25,000 and £30,000.

The boots were worn in one of his performances when he sang If I Can Dream, the song that capped off his 1968 NBC TV special. The boots are sold with an official certificate of authenticity hand signed by Jimmy Velvet, Elvis’ friend of 22 years.

Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said: “These boots are in the Premier League of Elvis collectables. They are a tangible link to one his most iconic performances. They are all the more pertinent as his album If I Can Dream is at the top of the album charts this week.

"To be selling them in Devizes is a feather in the cap for ourselves as the client could have sold them anywhere, we feel both honoured and privileged to be doing so.”

The auction will take place on Saturday. For more details on the auction call (01380) 729199 or email andrew@henryaldridge.com
