Traffic was queuing and one lane of the A429 was blocked in both directions in Corston because of a lorry stuck under Kingway railway bridge this morning.
One lane of the road was blocked between the Kingway View and Seagry Road junctions of the village, near Malmesbury.
All lanes of the A429 re-opened by 8.30am, as the lorry has been removed from the bridge.
Traffic was delayed between the Kingway View and Seagry Road junctions but has now returned to normal.
Wiltshire Police were called just before 7.25am as the articulated lorry was then stuck under the bridge.
Network Rail inspectors attended and said no damage had been caused to the bridge.
