BAND Scouting for Girls has released their new music video filmed in Marlborough at the Christmas lights switch-on.

It begins by seeing the trio busking outside Sound Knowledge, trying their hand at winning toys from the festive stalls, before getting on stage outside Lloyds Bank to perform in front of the hundreds of people watching.

Last month, they spent the day in the town with a film crew capturing the scenes for their song Christmas in the Air (Tonight), which they hope could bag them their first Christmas number one.

Those who knew they were coming to Marlborough were sworn to secrecy over concerns too many people might descend on the town, but fans quickly spotted band members Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard, who delighted revellers with their surprise performance.

The video, directed and edited by Damien Reeves, also features lots of youngsters, people drinking in the Castle and Ball and the Marlborough Lions Club very own Father Christmas on his sleigh near the town hall.
