AN Army sergeant was today been charged with two counts of attempted murder of a 40-year-old woman and a further charge of criminal damage reckless to the endangerment of life.

Emile Cilliers, 36, of Amesbury, has been released on bail and is next due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 14.

She sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to Southampton Hospital, being discharged with multiple fractures throughout her body.
