TV STAR Ross Kemp met with wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans, and took a few selfies too, at the Help for Heroes recovery centre in Tidworth.

Tedworth House held its annual Christmas stockings day last week where everyone enjoyed a festive lunch together which was served by Tedworth House staff.

Kemp, who is a Help for Heroes ambassador, spent time speaking with the residents and took plenty of selfies and was even handed a few mobiles with the request... "My mum is on the phone and wants to say hello".

The Chelsea Pensioners, were also invited to the daytime events, and alongside the wounded, injured and sick service personnel were given their Christmas stockings, filled with gifts donated by the public.

And in the evening 120 families came together at Tedworth House for a festive party. The guests were greeted at the front of the house by two reindeer and then were able to meet Father Christmas, who gave every child a teddy bear, which had been kindly donated by Rendcomb College in Cirencester.

The Tidworth Military Wives choir and Veterans Voices both performed and bought the evening to a close.
