A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously hurt in a crash with a van.
Police were called at 7.30am to the crash on the A361 on the approach to Beckhampton Roundabout.
It is thought that the Ford Transit caught fire after the crash.
Road closures are in place from the Beckhampton Roundabout to Blacklands Junction.
The road is likely to be closed for much of the day and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.
All three emergency services attended and accident investigation officers are now at the scene.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the police collision investigation unit by calling 101.
Police report long delays and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
