A £145,000 McLaren sports cars smashed into a house and a telegraph pole early on Sunday morning.

The male driver and his passenger were believed to be on their way to Goodwood Festival of Speed when the bright orange McLaren 570s crashed at around 6am on Sunday.

Three fire crews tackled the blaze at the Cradock Tractors Site on the A350 at Heywood, between Trowbridge and Westbury in west Wiltshire.

Three fire crews tackled the blaze, shoring up the house using the Trowbridge-based heavy rescue unit.

Both of those in the car were lucky enough to be treated for only minor injuries and were free when emergency services arrived.

The road was later reopened.
