HERE is a case study video about ear mites in cats.
Vets at the clinic see a number of cases of cat with ear infections. Here's a cat called EmnEm who came to staff at Vet's Klinic because he had really itchy ears. After doing some tests under the microscope, vet Adrian found out that he had got a bacterial infection, which can be quickly cured with some antibiotic drops.
However the day before they saw another case of a cat in which we saw something different under the microscope and what they saw was ear mites.
Ear mites are quite easy to treat you can either put an anti mites drop inside the ear, just keep a real close eye on your cat if you see any discharge in the ear take it to your vet for a check and they can find out whether it's a bacterial infection, a yeast infection or an ear mite problem.
