Babies At One In The Water
WHILE mums can get fit together on dry land an increasingly popular choice for babies is swimming lessons.
The Swindon branch of Water Babies is celebrating its second anniversary after a recent move to new premises, having passed the 500 baby milestone.
Claire Southworth set up Water Babies in Wiltshire with husband Steve Partridge after taking their own children for lessons.
Baby swimming has become more and more popular in recent years, with 10,000 babies swimming with Water Babies around the world each week.
Claire said: "Babies have a natural affinity with water and they love the warm and comforting environment of the pool as well as the freedom of movement that water allows.
"We find it really helps with the bonding process too - classes are small and parents can relax, safe in the knowledge that they're in the hands of an experienced professional.
"It's a great way of making friends and meeting other mums and dads, and it's the only activity that you can do with your baby literally from birth, so can really give you some precious memories of time spent together."
