Sixth straight win for Reeves

ANDREW Reeves made it six wins from as many fights at Swindon Horseshoe Gym’s amateur boxing show on Friday night.

The youngster impressed again at Next Generation Gym as he stepped up in class against Gulliver Holdsworth from Launcester ABC.

Holdsworth’s record read five wins from six bouts ahead of the clash but Reeves was in confident mood.

Reeves boxed sensibly in what was an exciting fight and earned a unanimous decision.

Brothers Gary and Jack O’Reilly made it two wins for two despite the latter taking a standing eight count at the end of the final round.

Connor Harris and Sam Ballagh impressed in their bouts while Kayden Connolly failed to get the decision in his fight.

Another Horseshoe Gym boxer George Richardson wasted no time in his bout, stopping Devon’s Sam Watts early on.

Ethen Greenslade never got going against his taller opponent Lewis Williams while Bartek Mroszczyk lost on a majority decision against Liam Timms.

James Townsend completed a successful evening for the host club, beating Wali Jan Mangal by a majority points decision.

Horseshoe Gym head coach Brian Roberts said: “It was a fantastic show with some exciting boxing.

“We’ve had a big crowd here and it’s great way to start the new season.”
