WBO title fight is off for Swindon boxer Cox

Swindon boxer Jamie Cox
JAMIE Cox's WBO International Middleweight title fight against Gary O'Sullivan has been called off.
The Swindon boxer was due to fight O'Sullivan on December 15 but the pair have now been pulled off the bill by promoter Frank Warren.
Cox, who is the reigning Commonwealth light-middleweight champion, may now have to wait until the new year to make his long-awaited return to the ring.
The 26-year-old's last fight was almost 14 months ago when he beat Obadai Sai to win the Commonwealth title.
However, Cox suffered a serious injury to his left hand in that fight and has since had reconstructive surgery to fix the problem.
Cox admitted he was disappointed the fight was off but says he hopes to return as soon as possible.
"It's obviously gutting for the fight to be called off," said Cox. "I was looking forward to it and it was a good opportunity. I can't say much more now but it looks like I'll return in the new year."
