Wrag Barn professional Martin Sell made a disappointing start to his bid to earn a European Tour card today.

Sell finished his opening round on the Stadium Course at Spain's Catalunya Resort two over par leaving him with it all to do in the remaining rounds.

The 33-year-old made birdie at the par four fourth only to drop that shot immediately at the fifth.

Sell finished his opening nine holes with a bogey at nine to drop to one over par at the turn.

He then birdied 12 only to drop a shot at the next. Four pars followed but Sell dropped another shot at the 18th as he finished with a two-over par 74.

Sell begins his second round on Sunday at 9.20am (BST) when he will be playing on the Tour Course.
