Is the Sky revenue split 50-50 between the TV clubs? A bit more cash would help the Town, but on the other hand, there will probably be fewer supporters cheering the team on. Easier to watch from the sofa and travelling midweek harder than on a Saturday. I was planning to go to the game on the Saturday but have no chance of making it midweek.
On the positive side this is two away games which will be on tv, clearly the thrashings of Portsmouth/Carlisle/
etc are getting us noticed by the Sky bods.

Seems to be a few of the away games I could conceivably have gotten to easier are being moved about, why couldn't they have done this with Tranmere or somewhere!
Thanks for that - NOT. I hate sky more than ever. It wouldn't be so bad if the kick off was earlier or later in the day but switching to a Tuesday is a non-starter for me and I suspect many others. Not happy. COYR
Not to worry, roll on tomorrow.

.com.au and i will meet you somewhere outside the ground on sat. Was lucky enough to be at the carlisle game, very impressed with everything and a really positive feel about the place. If the lads keep playing that style and speed of football they will go very close to going up this year.

No consideration of the fans, support will be down on a Tuesday night, for sure. Money more important than fans!!

Pauli talks about a group, not just a team, well, this hits part of the group. No consideration of the fans, support will be down on a Tuesday night, for sure. Money more important than fans!!
Given that it's an away game so we we're not losing a home gate over it, the club would be mad to turn down the tv money even if wanted to. Might be disappointing for anyone planning to go who now can't but you can see the attraction from the club's point of view.

But more importantly it is MONEY coming in
.
Happy to be corrected by I believe a game on Sky is worth £100k - we would never have got that at Yeovil normally
.
So if that means Hollands and Martin stay then that is much more important than 1 fixture out of 46+ being moved

Still that should be £60k from Crawley and Yeovil - 65% is £40k so go along way to secure Hollands and Martin for the extra 5 months beyond Jan

Evening all..SAP Fan...if your Birthday plans are up in the air...hows about a trip to just down road from me,,Burton on the beer...I believe you like me went last year when ..we had a 2-0 off day..but what great pubs..I can recommend a few...dont know offhand if Brewers are at home.....?

Need to sort something out - might actually get round to holding the Predictions League Quiz and awards (for last season).....but Burton certainly has some good drinking holes so tis a bit tempting! :-)

Hope you're well.

What a bunch of moaners. What would you all have done if the original game been arranged for a Tuesday. Still moaned about it no doubt. Get real, clubs have to complete thier fixtures and the TV money will far outweigh the few pennies that you moaners will not have provided.

Hi Perth Red. Are you the Tim that attended MGS from 62-67ish and used to keep dogs for the college on your Farm. if so, would love to make a contact with you. If you are the Tim I am thinking of I used to sit behind you at MGS in 62 and went to Wembley with you in 69.
