Broome's Howell makes Doha cut

DAVID Howell has made the cut at the Qatar Masters despite a one-over-par round of 73 today.
The two-time Ryder Cup winner followed up his three-under round yesterday with a mixed card of four bogeys and three birdies in Doha.
Teeing off at the 10th, the Broome Manor star dropped shots at the 13th, 15th and 18th but then made gains at one and four.
He bogeyed the sixth before pulling himself back to one-over for the day at the par-three eighth.
Howell qualified for the weekend by two clear shots on two-under and is seven off the lead held by Australia’s Marcus Fraser.
