AARON Nell has missed out on a place in Great Britain's full squad for final Winter Olympic qualifiers.

The Wildcats captain attended a two-day training camp in Manchester with the preliminary squad earlier this week in a bid to impress head coach Tony Hand.

However, the forward has not made the cut for the Group E showdown from February 7-10 in Latvia, and will instead be one of nine reserves on stand-by.

Basingstoke's Greg Owen is the only EPL player to make the full squad.

Great Britain won gold at the 1936 Winter Games in Germany but have not qualified since 1948.
