Cleckheaton-based equipment manufacturer Ferno has supplied new portable body fridges and other equipment to Haven Funeral Services, an independent funeral company with funeral homes across West London and Hillingdon.
The fridge was developed by Ferno to meet a long-standing demand from mortuaries and funeral parlours looking for competitively-priced chilled space in confined areas.
Ferno’s product can be quickly and easily assembled in a variety of locations.
Jon Ellis, of Ferno, said: “We developed the flexible body fridge following demand from our customers in the funeral and mortuary sector who were looking for a cost-effective alternative to big fixed chiller units.
“When not in use, the fridge can be folded away, freeing up space and cutting energy bills.”
