SWINDON’S Martin Sell battled to a level-par round of 71 at the Kenya Open today to give himself a fighting chance of a decent finish heading into the weekend.
The Wrag Barn pro, competing in his first event of the year on the Challenge Tour, followed up yesterday’s two-over effort at Karen Country Club with a better 18 this time round, leaving him tied for 52nd overall.
Sell birdied the fourth but slipped back with a bogey on seven. He picked up a shot on 12 but dropped shots on 13 and 15, before carding a birdie at the final hole.
Currently heading the leaderboard is the Netherlands’ Tim Sluiter on eight-under.
