FOREST Green manager Dave Hockaday has said no approach has been made by Swindon Town for his services.

Hockaday, who played more than 300 times for the Robins in the 1980s, has been installed as one of the favourites for the top job at the County Ground by bookmakers following the resignation of Paolo Di Canio.

However, it is understood that Town will not approach managers until Football League approval of the sale of the club is received, and Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire that he had not had contact from Swindon.

"I haven't been approached. I'm employed by Forest Green Rovers and I love my job," he said.

"I've got the best chairman in the world so I'm not going to go looking for another job.

"I've got a great group of lads here and we're building something special.

"I'm Forest Green through and through. If ever my chairman wants me to leave then that's a different matter but until such time I'm happy here."
