MILES Storey will undergo a scan today on a hamstring injury sustained during the 3-1 defeat of Tranmere on Tuesday night.

Storey was named in the Swindon Town starting line-up for just the second time in his short career at Prenton Park and looked a real threat up front for the visitors, only to pull up after 24 minutes holding the back of his leg.

Robins physio Paul Godfrey yesterday confirmed that the teenager will be assessed to determine the extent of the damage.

He said: “Upon initial assessment Miles looks to have sustained a moderate hamstring strain.

“He will be scanned on Thursday to confirm the diagnosis and we will have a much better indication of the time he will be out once the results of the scan are known.”

While the rest of former manager Paolo Di Canio’s backroom staff resigned on Wednesday morning, Godfrey has remained with the club.

Swindon Town’s League One clash with Crewe, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, will have to be rearranged after Alex reached the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final last night.

No new date has yet been announced for the Railwaymen’s trip to Wiltshire.
